Automatic gear oil manufacturers

Selecting the right ATF requires matching the fluid to the specific transmission architecture. You must verify the viscosity index, oxidation stability, and friction modification properties. Common standards include Dexron (GM), Mercon (Ford), and JASO 1-A. For modern vehicles, ensure the oil is Low Viscosity (LV) to improve fuel economy and provide anti-shudder durability for torque converters.

To ensure product safety and performance, prioritize suppliers with ISO 9001 for quality management and ISO/TS 16949 for automotive industry standards. The product should have a Technical Data Sheet (TDS) and a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS). For international trade, check for API (American Petroleum Institute) service categories or OEM approvals from manufacturers like ZF, Aisin, or Voith.

High-quality ATF must demonstrate excellent thermal stability to prevent sludge buildup at high temperatures and superior low-temperature fluidity (pour point) for cold-start protection. Look for anti-wear additives that protect planetary gears and seal compatibility to prevent leaks in aging transmission systems.

Calculate the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) by factoring in the unit price per liter/drum, shipping weight surcharges (due to high density), and import duties on petroleum products. Purchasing in 208L drums or 1000L IBC tanks typically reduces packaging waste and lowers the price by 15-25% compared to 1L or 4L retail bottles.

The main risks include customs seizure due to improper labeling and leakage during transit. Ensure the supplier uses UN-certified packaging for hazardous or chemical goods. You should also verify the HS Code (typically 271019) to confirm the correct tariff rate and avoid unexpected anti-dumping duties in your specific country.

Focus on sample testing before placing a full container load. Request a Certificate of Analysis (COA) for each batch. Negotiate for tiered pricing based on annual volume rather than a single order, and ask for private labeling (OEM) services if you intend to build your own brand, ensuring the supplier can provide customized packaging design.

Lubricants are often classified as non-hazardous or Class 9 goods depending on the flashpoint. You must use a freight forwarder experienced in liquid logistics. Ensure the cargo is loaded with flexitanks or secured in palletized drums to prevent shifting. Always insist on Marine Insurance that covers 'leakage and breakage' (AAR - Against All Risks).

Use Secured Trading Services provided by Made-in-China.com to protect your payment until the goods are shipped. For large bulk orders, consider using a Letter of Credit (L/C) or a 30% deposit / 70% balance against Bill of Lading (B/L). Conduct a third-party factory audit (e.g., SGS or Intertek) to verify the supplier's blending facilities and laboratory capabilities.
