Rcd breaker manufacturers

For residential applications, a Type AC or Type A RCD with a sensitivity of 30mA is standard to protect against electric shock. For industrial environments involving variable speed drives or PV inverters, you must specify Type B RCDs, which detect high-frequency AC and pure DC residual currents. Ensure the Rated Breaking Capacity (Icn) is at least 6kA for residential and 10kA or higher for industrial use to handle potential short-circuit faults safely.

The product must strictly adhere to IEC/EN 61008-1 (for RCCBs) or IEC/EN 61009-1 (for RCBOs). For the European market, CE marking and RoHS compliance are mandatory. If exporting to North America, look for UL 943 or UL 1053 certification. For the Chinese market, a CCC (China Compulsory Certificate) is required. Always request valid test reports from accredited third-party labs like TUV, Intertek, or VDE.

An RCCB (Residual Current Circuit Breaker) only protects against earth leakage and requires a separate MCB for overcurrent protection, which is cost-effective for large distribution boards. An RCBO (Residual Current Breaker with Overcurrent protection) combines both functions in one device, saving rail space and providing localized fault isolation, which is preferred for high-end commercial projects despite a higher unit price.

RCDs are sensitive to ambient temperature and humidity. Ensure the device is rated for a temperature range of -25°C to +40°C. In coastal or high-humidity areas, prioritize suppliers offering tropicalized versions with anti-corrosion treatment on internal copper components and IP40 or higher protection for the enclosure to prevent nuisance tripping and mechanical failure.

Only source from verified manufacturers on Made-in-China.com who possess ISO 9001 quality management systems. Request the unique serial numbers of the products and verify them against the manufacturer's database. Conduct a pre-shipment inspection (PSI) to perform a 'Trip Test' on a random sample to ensure the device reacts within the required milliseconds (typically <40ms at 5x IΔn).

When negotiating, clarify the OEM requirements for laser-marking your brand and local wiring diagrams on the product housing. For bulk orders, aim for a 15-20% discount by committing to an annual volume. Ensure the contract specifies a lead time of 25-30 days, as high-quality electronic components inside the RCD may have fluctuating supply chain availability.

RCDs contain delicate mechanical triggers. Demand seaworthy packaging including vacuum-sealed moisture-proof bags and double-walled corrugated export cartons with internal shock-absorbing foam. For shipping to regions with high import duties, consult with the supplier to ensure the Harmonized System (HS) Code 853630 is correctly applied to avoid customs delays or overpayment of tariffs.

Utilize Secured Trading services provided by Made-in-China.com to ensure payment is only released upon confirmation of delivery and quality. For the first order, use a 30% deposit and 70% balance against the Bill of Lading (B/L). Avoid direct wire transfers to private accounts; always ensure the beneficiary name matches the company name on the business license.
