Wholesale nurse costume manufacturers

For professional-grade nurse costumes, prioritize fabrics like Polyester-Cotton blends (65/35) for breathability and durability, or Spandex-infused fabrics for high-elasticity performance wear. Ensure the fabric weight is at least 160-180 GSM to prevent transparency. For 'sexy' or theatrical variants, look for reinforced stitching and non-itchy lace trims to ensure wearer comfort during extended use.

Buyers must ensure products meet OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 for skin-safe textiles. For the US market, compliance with CPSIA (Lead and Phthalates) and 16 CFR Part 1610 (Flammability of Clothing Textiles) is mandatory. For the EU, ensure adherence to REACH regulations regarding AZO dyes and heavy metals. Always request Third-Party Lab Test Reports from the supplier before finalizing the order.

Focus on seam reinforcement (double-stitched hems) and the quality of closures like YKK zippers or heavy-duty snap buttons. For functional medical scrubs used as costumes, verify colorfastness to chlorine bleaching (Grade 4 or higher) and shrinkage rates below 3%. Request a pre-production sample to test the 'fit-to-size' accuracy against international size charts (S-XXL).

Top-tier suppliers on Made-in-China.com should offer Private Labeling (woven labels/hangtags), custom embroidery/printing for logos, and bespoke packaging. Inquire if the supplier can provide low MOQ for custom colors (typically 300-500 pieces) to help differentiate your brand in a competitive market.

The primary risks include size discrepancy (Asian vs. Western sizing) and material substitution, where a supplier uses cheaper, thinner fabric for the bulk order than what was shown in the sample. To mitigate this, use Trade Resources on Made-in-China.com and hire a third-party inspection service (like SGS or Intertek) to conduct a During Production Check (DUPRO) or a Final Random Inspection (FRI).

Aim for a tiered pricing structure where the unit price drops by 10-15% as volume doubles. For payment, avoid 100% upfront transfers; instead, negotiate a 30% deposit and 70% balance payment after the presentation of the Bill of Lading (B/L) or a successful inspection report. Always conduct transactions through secure payment channels provided by reputable B2B platforms.

For peak seasons like Halloween, utilize Sea-Air combined transport to balance cost and speed. Ensure your supplier provides vacuum-compressed packaging to reduce the volumetric weight, which can lower freight costs by up to 20-30%. Always clarify the Incoterms (FOB is recommended) to maintain control over the shipping process and costs.

Ensure the nurse costume design does not infringe on trademarked characters or specific entertainment franchises. If the design includes specific logos (e.g., a Red Cross), verify that it complies with international Geneva Convention emblems regulations, which often restrict the use of the red cross on white background for commercial products; using a stylized heart or alternative medical icon is a safer strategy for global trade.
