Ball candy manufacturers

When sourcing ball candy, you must prioritize food-grade ingredients and shelf-life stability. Key specifications include the moisture content (typically <3% for hard candy to prevent stickiness), diameter consistency (crucial for automated packaging or vending machines), and coating integrity (ensuring the outer shell does not crack during transit). Always request a Certificate of Analysis (COA) for every batch to verify ingredient purity.

Compliance is non-negotiable in food sourcing. Suppliers must hold HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) and ISO 22000 certifications. For the U.S. market, FDA registration and FSMA compliance are required. For the EU, ensure adherence to EFSA regulations, specifically regarding permitted food colorants (avoiding banned Azo dyes) and labeling requirements for allergens like soy or dairy.

Perform a sensory evaluation focusing on texture, flavor release, and color uniformity. Conduct a dissolution test to ensure the candy lasts as intended (especially for jawbreakers). Additionally, check for packaging hermeticity; the individual wrappers or bulk bags must be heat-sealed to prevent humidity ingress, which leads to sugar bloom or spoilage.

Top-tier suppliers on Made-in-China.com offer extensive customization. This includes bespoke flavor profiles, natural fruit juice infusions, and custom embossing on the candy surface. Furthermore, evaluate their packaging capabilities, such as private label branding on PET jars, stand-up pouches, or display boxes to ensure the product is retail-ready.

Confectionery is sensitive to temperature and humidity. For long-haul cross-border shipping, it is highly recommended to use Reefer Containers (Refrigerated Containers) maintained at 18-22°C. Ensure the supplier uses desiccants inside the master cartons and avoid shipping during peak summer months if standard dry containers are used, as internal temperatures can exceed 50°C.

Focus on Volume-Based Pricing Tiers; for ball candy, the price per kilogram can drop significantly when ordering in Full Container Loads (FCL). Negotiate for free samples for new flavor developments and insist on a pre-shipment inspection clause where a third party (like SGS) verifies the production date and expiry date before final payment is released.

Always utilize Secured Payment Services provided by reputable platforms like Made-in-China.com. This ensures that your funds are held in escrow and only released to the supplier once you confirm the Bill of Lading (B/L) and quality compliance. Avoid direct wire transfers to private accounts; always use verified corporate bank accounts.

Sugar-based products often face Sugar Taxes or specific Tariff-Rate Quotas (TRQ) in certain countries. Check your local HS Code (typically Chapter 1704) for ball candy to determine the exact duty rate. Ensure your supplier provides a Generalized System of Preferences (GSP) Certificate of Origin if applicable, which can significantly reduce or exempt import duties.
