Black beads manufacturers

Black beads are categorized by material based on their application. Black Obsidian and Onyx are preferred for high-end jewelry due to their natural luster and perceived healing properties. Black Tourmaline is often used for protective amulets. For mass-market fashion accessories, Black Glass (Jet) or Acrylic/Resin beads offer a cost-effective, lightweight alternative. In industrial or high-tech applications, Black Zirconia Ceramic beads are utilized for their extreme hardness and wear resistance.

To ensure authenticity, request a GIA or local equivalent gemstone certification. For Obsidian, check for the 'sheen' or 'rainbow' effect under strong light, which is difficult to replicate in glass. For Onyx, perform a hardness test; natural onyx ranks 6.5-7 on the Mohs scale and should not be easily scratched by steel. Ensure the drill holes are smooth and centered, as jagged edges can damage threading materials and indicate poor manufacturing quality.

For beads used in jewelry, compliance with REACH (EU) and CPSIA (US) is mandatory to ensure they are Lead-free, Cadmium-free, and Nickel-free. If the beads are intended for children's products, they must pass ASTM F963 physical and mechanical tests to prevent choking hazards. For wooden black beads, ensure they have a Fumigation Certificate and comply with Lacey Act requirements if imported into the US.

Buyers must specify the exact diameter (e.g., 6mm, 8mm, 10mm) with a tolerance of ±0.2mm. The hole size must be clearly defined (e.g., 1.0mm or 1.5mm) to match the buyer's stringing wire. For coated beads, such as electroplated glass, request a salt spray test report to ensure the black finish does not peel or fade over time.

Always request a pre-production sample and have it tested by a third-party lab. Use Made-in-China.com's 'Audited Supplier' reports to verify the manufacturer's specialized production lines. Include a clause in the contract stating that bulk goods must match the chemical composition of the approved sample, or a full refund will be triggered.

Black beads are often sold by 'strands' or by weight (kg). For high-volume orders, negotiate based on weight-based pricing to achieve a 15-25% cost reduction compared to per-strand pricing. If you are a startup, look for suppliers on Made-in-China.com that offer 'Ready-to-Ship' inventory, which typically allows for lower MOQs (e.g., 10-50 strands) at a slightly higher unit price.

Beads, especially stone and glass, are heavy. For orders under 100kg, Air Express (DHL/FedEx) is fastest but expensive. For bulk orders exceeding 500kg, Sea Freight (LCL) is the most economical. Ensure the supplier uses double-walled corrugated boxes and reinforced pallet packaging to prevent box bursting due to the high density and weight of the beads during transit.

Utilize Secured Payment services provided by reputable B2B platforms like Made-in-China.com to ensure funds are only released after you confirm receipt of goods. Avoid direct wire transfers to private accounts. Always verify the supplier's business license and check if the company name on the bank account matches the registered company name.
