Fridge slides manufacturers

When evaluating fridge slides, the most critical factor is the load capacity, which should typically range from 100kg to 250kg to account for the fridge weight plus contents and dynamic forces during travel. Look for heavy-duty cold-rolled steel construction with a powder-coated finish to prevent corrosion. Ensure the slide uses high-quality stainless steel ball-bearing runners for smooth operation under load. Additionally, verify the locking mechanism—dual-sided locking levers are preferred to ensure the slide remains secure in both the fully closed and fully extended positions.

Compatibility is determined by the tray dimensions (internal length and width) versus the fridge footprint. B2B buyers should look for suppliers offering universal fitment holes or modular mounting points that align with standard vehicle drawer systems. For high-end requirements, prioritize slides with extendable trays or tilting mechanisms (drop-down slides) which are essential for high-clearance vehicles to allow easier access to the fridge contents.

You should request salt spray test reports (e.g., 48 to 96 hours) to ensure the coating can withstand humid or coastal environments. For the runners, ask for cycle test certifications, ideally proving the slide can handle 50,000+ open-close cycles under maximum load. If the product is intended for the Australian or North American markets, ensure the materials meet REACH or RoHS standards for chemical safety in coatings and lubricants.

For overlanding and 4x4 canopy setups, a heavy-duty slide with an integrated cutting board or slide-out table adds significant value. For commercial delivery vehicles, focus on low-profile designs to maximize vertical storage space. If the fridge slide is for marine use, it is mandatory to specify 316-grade stainless steel components to prevent rapid oxidation from saltwater exposure.

The main risks include shipping damage due to the high weight-to-volume ratio and surface scratching if packaging is insufficient. Ensure the supplier uses reinforced 5-layer corrugated cartons with EPE foam corner protectors. Another risk is dimensional inaccuracy; always mandate a pre-shipment inspection (PSI) to verify that the internal tray dimensions match your specifications exactly, as a 5mm error can render the slide useless for specific fridge models.

When sourcing via Made-in-China.com, utilize the Secured Trading Service to protect your payment until delivery is confirmed. For negotiations, leverage volume-based pricing; for example, ordering in Full Container Loads (FCL) can reduce unit costs by 15-20% compared to LCL due to lower handling fees. Request a sample unit first to test the 'drift'—ensure the slide does not sag more than 3-5mm when fully extended under load.

Fridge slides are heavy, so sea freight is the only economically feasible method for bulk orders. Ensure the supplier provides the correct HS Code (typically 8302.42 or 7326.90) to avoid customs delays. Be aware of anti-dumping duties on certain steel products in specific regions; always consult with a local customs broker to confirm the Total Landed Cost including tariffs and port charges.
