Gold tray manufacturers

Buyers should prioritize Stainless Steel (Grade 304 or 201) as the base material for durability and corrosion resistance. The 'gold' finish is typically achieved through PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) Coating, which is superior to electroplating as it is scratch-resistant, food-safe, and does not fade easily. For luxury markets, ensure the tray has a mirror-polished or brushed finish with a thickness of at least 0.8mm to 1.2mm to prevent warping under weight.

If the tray is used for serving food, it must comply with FDA (U.S.) or LFGB (Germany/EU) food-grade certifications. Ensure the supplier provides a Lead and Cadmium-free report. For decorative trays, compliance with REACH regulations is essential to ensure no hazardous chemicals are present in the surface coating.

Request a Salt Spray Test report (typically 24 to 48 hours) to verify the coating's resistance to oxidation. Examine the welding points (especially for trays with handles or wire frames); they should be seamless and burr-free. For glass-bottomed gold trays, verify that the tempered glass is securely fitted with non-slip silicone gaskets.

For Hospitality/Catering, focus on stackability and reinforced edges. For Home Decor/Jewelry Display, prioritize aesthetic design and felt-lined bottoms to protect furniture surfaces. For Wedding/Event Planning, look for large-diameter options (30cm+) and lightweight yet sturdy construction to facilitate easy service.

The biggest risk is surface scratching during transit. You must mandate individual bubble wrap packaging and five-layer corrugated export cartons. Another risk is color inconsistency between batches; always request a Golden Sample and use a third-party inspection service like those found on Made-in-China.com to perform a color match check against the approved sample before final payment.

Gold trays often have an MOQ of 100-500 pieces. To lower costs, negotiate based on Total Order Volume rather than per-item MOQ if you are buying multiple sizes. Ask for a tiered pricing structure (e.g., 500, 1000, and 5000 units). If you are a first-time buyer, suggest a paid sample phase where the sample cost is deducted from the first bulk order.

Since metal trays are heavy but relatively compact, Sea Freight (LCL - Less than Container Load) is the most economical for bulk orders. However, if the trays are hollow or high-volume (like wire baskets), calculate the Volumetric Weight carefully. For high-end boutique orders, Air Freight may be viable, but ensure the packaging-to-product weight ratio is optimized to avoid excessive surcharges.

Always conduct transactions through Secured Payment services provided by reputable platforms like Made-in-China.com. Use Trade Terms like FOB (Free On Board) to maintain control over the shipping costs and insurance. Never wire full payments upfront; a standard 30% deposit and 70% balance against the Bill of Lading (B/L) is the industry norm for verified manufacturers.
