Grc panel manufacturers

When sourcing GRC panels, you must prioritize the Glass Fiber Content, which should typically be between 3% to 5% of the total weight to ensure structural integrity. Ensure the use of Alkali-Resistant (AR) glass fibers with a zirconia content of at least 16% to prevent long-term degradation from the concrete's alkalinity. Additionally, verify the bending strength (MOR) and impact strength to ensure the panels can withstand wind loads and environmental stress.

For international trade, GRC panels should comply with ASTM C1228 (Standard Practice for Fabricating GRC) or the PCI (Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute) standards in the US. For European markets, look for EN 1169 and CE marking. It is highly recommended to choose suppliers who hold ISO 9001 for quality management and ISO 14001 for environmental standards, as GRC production involves precise chemical mixing.

Request Freeze-Thaw cycle test reports and Water Absorption tests (which should ideally be below 10%). Since GRC is often used for exterior facades, check for UV resistance of the pigments used and the fire rating, which should ideally be Class A1 (Non-combustible) according to EN 13501-1 or equivalent standards.

A top-tier supplier should provide BIM (Building Information Modeling) and CAD support to ensure the panels integrate perfectly with the building's steel structure. They should offer custom mold fabrication (using CNC or 3D printing) for complex architectural shapes and provide a variety of surface finishes, such as sandblasted, polished, or stone-imitation textures.

The biggest risk is physical breakage due to the material's rigidity. You must negotiate for specialized steel-frame packaging or reinforced wooden crates with shock-absorbing layers. Ensure the contract includes a breakage allowance clause and that the cargo is covered by All-Risk Marine Insurance.

Look for 'Audited Suppliers' on Made-in-China.com who have undergone third-party inspections by SGS or TÜV Rheinland. Review their Production Capacity and Export Experience specifically for large-scale construction projects. Request a factory walk-through via video call to inspect their spraying equipment and curing rooms.

Focus on the Total Landed Cost. Since GRC is heavy, shipping costs are significant; negotiate for FOB (Free On Board) terms to maintain control over logistics. For orders exceeding 500 square meters, aim for a volume discount of 10-20%, and link payment milestones to third-party pre-shipment inspections.

Use Secured Payment services provided by Made-in-China.com to ensure funds are only released upon proof of shipment. Never transfer the full amount upfront; a standard industry practice is a 30% deposit and 70% balance against the Bill of Lading (B/L) or after a successful quality inspection at the loading port.
