Juicer blade manufacturers

When sourcing juicer blades, the material is the most critical factor for performance and longevity. You should prioritize Food-Grade Stainless Steel (304 or 316 grade). Grade 304 offers excellent corrosion resistance against fruit acids, while 316 is superior for high-salinity environments. Ensure the blades undergo Titanium plating or Ceramic coating if the application involves high-speed friction, as this reduces heat buildup and prevents the oxidation of nutrients in the juice.

Key technical benchmarks include Hardness (HRC 50-55) to maintain sharpness over time and Dynamic Balance Testing to prevent excessive vibration at high RPMs (up to 20,000+ RPM). For centrifugal juicers, check the micro-mesh density and laser-cut precision of the teeth. For masticating juicers, focus on the torque resistance of the blade assembly to ensure it can handle hard vegetables like carrots without snapping.

Compliance is non-negotiable for food-contact components. For the US market, blades must be FDA compliant, ensuring no harmful heavy metals leach into the food. For the EU, LFGB (Lebensmittel- und Futtermittelgesetzbuch) certification is required, which is often stricter than FDA standards. Additionally, ensure the manufacturer adheres to ISO 9001 for quality management and RoHS if the blade assembly includes electronic sensors or specialized alloys.

Compatibility issues are a major source of returns. You must verify the shaft diameter, locking mechanism (e.g., 6-fin, 7-fin, or threaded base), and gasket seal dimensions. Request CAD drawings or 3D step files from the supplier to compare with your original equipment manufacturer (OEM) specs. It is highly recommended to order 5-10 samples for fitment testing on actual machine bases before placing a bulk order.

The primary risks include material substitution (using 201 stainless steel instead of 304) and structural failure due to poor welding. To mitigate this, use Made-in-China.com's 'Audited Supplier' reports to verify the factory's production capabilities. Always insist on a Third-Party Pre-shipment Inspection (PSI) to conduct a 'Salt Spray Test' and 'Hardness Test' to ensure the blades won't rust or dull prematurely.

For custom (ODM) blades, the molding fee is a significant upfront cost. Negotiate a mold fee rebate where the supplier refunds the tooling cost once your cumulative order volume reaches a certain threshold (e.g., 5,000 units). For standard parts, leverage tiered pricing; increasing your order from 500 to 2,000 units can often yield a 15-25% price reduction.

Juicer blades are heavy and sharp, posing a risk to packaging integrity. Ensure the supplier uses individual plastic protective caps for blade edges and vacuum-sealed anti-rust packaging. For bulk shipping, use double-walled corrugated boxes with reinforced corner protectors. Given the high weight-to-volume ratio, Sea Freight (LCL) is the most economical method, but ensure the Incoterms are clearly defined as FOB (Free On Board) to maintain control over your shipping costs.

To protect your capital, utilize secure payment escrow services provided by reputable platforms like Made-in-China.com. Never wire the full amount upfront; a standard 30% deposit and 70% balance payment against the Bill of Lading (B/L) is the industry norm. This ensures the supplier is incentivized to meet the quality standards and delivery timelines agreed upon in the Proforma Invoice (PI).
