Laser mould welding machine manufacturers

When evaluating a laser mould welding machine, the most critical factor is the Laser Source Type (YAG or Fiber). Fiber lasers offer higher stability and a longer lifespan (up to 100,000 hours), while YAG lasers are often more cost-effective for specific mould repair tasks. You must also verify the Laser Power (typically 200W to 500W) to ensure it can handle the depth and material of your specific moulds. Additionally, look for a high-precision CCD monitoring system and a 360-degree rotating laser head to facilitate repairs on complex geometries and large, heavy moulds without moving the workpiece.

For safety and legal compliance, ensure the machine carries the CE Marking for the European market or meets FDA/CDRH standards for the United States, particularly regarding Laser Safety Classifications (Class 4). The manufacturer should be ISO 9001 certified to guarantee consistent production quality. Furthermore, verify that the cooling system complies with environmental regulations and that the electrical components meet IEC standards to prevent operational hazards.

A robust Dual-Cycle Water Cooling System is essential for maintaining the stability of the laser output. High-quality chillers prevent the laser source from overheating during continuous 24-hour operations, which is common in industrial environments. Ensure the system includes automatic protection alarms for water flow and temperature; this prevents irreversible thermal damage to the expensive laser crystals or diodes.

Precision is driven by the Microscope Observation System (usually 10X or 15X magnification) and the Pulse Width and Frequency adjustments. For delicate electronics or medical moulds, the ability to achieve a minimum spot diameter of 0.2mm is vital. Look for machines with programmable pulse shapes, which allow for better control over the heating and cooling cycles of the weld pool, effectively preventing cracks and deformation in high-hardness tool steels.

To secure your investment, prioritize suppliers on Made-in-China.com who have undergone Audited Supplier reports by third-party agencies like SGS or TÜV Rheinland. Utilize Secure Payment services to ensure funds are only released upon confirmation of shipment. It is also highly recommended to request a live video demonstration or a sample welding test on your specific material before finalizing the contract to verify the machine's actual performance.

Focus your negotiations not just on the unit price, but on the Spare Parts Package. Request the inclusion of extra protective lenses, xenon lamps (for YAG), and nozzles in the initial price, as these are high-wear items. Additionally, negotiate for an extended warranty (24 months instead of 12) and clear terms regarding remote technical support response times, aiming for a guaranteed response within 12-24 hours.

Laser welding machines contain sensitive optical components that are prone to misalignment. Ensure the supplier uses vacuum-sealed packaging and reinforced wooden crates with 'Tip-N-Tell' or shock sensors. For shipping to your country, clarify the Incoterms (FOB or CIF) and ensure the supplier provides a detailed installation video and English-language software manual. Confirm if the supplier offers on-site commissioning or if they have local service partners in your region to assist with the initial setup.
