Ndj 8s viscometer manufacturers

The NDJ-8S is a digital rotary viscometer widely used for measuring the absolute viscosity of Newtonian liquids and the apparent viscosity of non-Newtonian liquids. You must verify the measurement range (typically 1 to 2,000,000 mPa·s), measurement accuracy (±1% to ±3% FS), and the rotor speeds (usually 0.3, 0.6, 1.5, 3, 6, 12, 30, 60 rpm). Ensure the unit includes a standard set of #1, #2, #3, and #4 rotors and features a backlit LCD display for clear data reading in laboratory environments.

This instrument is essential for quality control in industries such as paints, coatings, adhesives, cosmetics, food processing, and petroleum. It is ideal for scenarios requiring rapid viscosity testing during production or R&D. For low-viscosity fluids (below 10 mPa·s), check if the supplier provides the optional #0 rotor, which is specifically designed for high-precision measurements of thin liquids.

Professional buyers should ensure the device complies with ISO 2555 (Plastics - Resins in the liquid state or as emulsions or dispersions). The supplier should provide a Calibration Certificate traceable to national standards. Look for CE certification for electrical safety and RoHS compliance if exporting to the European market to ensure the components are free from hazardous substances.

Prioritize models with a stepper motor drive rather than a traditional gear drive, as stepper motors offer noise-free operation and higher reliability. Verify if the device has built-in temperature sensors (RTD probes) to monitor the sample temperature, as viscosity is highly temperature-dependent. A sturdy lifting system and leveling feet are also critical for maintaining the physical stability required for accurate readings.

Precision laboratory instruments are highly sensitive to vibration and impact. Insist that the supplier uses specialized aluminum carrying cases nested within double-walled corrugated export cartons with custom-cut high-density foam inserts. For high-value bulk orders, request palletization with shock-indicator labels (e.g., ShockWatch) to monitor handling during transit.

Focus on long-term technical support and spare parts availability (such as replacement rotors or sensors) rather than just the initial purchase price. Ask for a discount on the 'Sample First' order, with the agreement that the sample cost will be deducted from the first Full Container Load (FCL) or high-volume LCL order. Always confirm the lead time for customized voltage requirements (e.g., 110V vs 220V) to avoid delays.

Utilize Secured Trading Services provided by Made-in-China.com to protect your payment until delivery is confirmed. Before final payment, hire a third-party inspection agency (like SGS or Intertek) to perform a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI). The inspector should verify the zero-point calibration and ensure the motor runs smoothly at all rated speeds.

Verify the HS Code (typically 9027.80) for viscometers to determine the exact import duties in your country. Ensure the Commercial Invoice and Packing List clearly state the 'Country of Origin' and 'Technical Specifications' to prevent customs holds. If shipping to the US or EU, ensure the power plug type and voltage are compatible with local standards to avoid 'non-compliant electronic' seizures at the border.
