I have found results from400+products and200+suppliers aboutPolyester 190t
Polyester 190T is defined by its thread count (190 threads per square inch). When sourcing, you must verify the denier (usually 68D), the weight (typically 55-65 gsm), and the weaving density. Ensure the fabric uses high-tenacity polyester yarns to prevent tearing under tension, especially for outdoor applications like tents or umbrellas.
The coating determines the application: PA (Polyamide) coating is for basic water resistance and dustproofing; PU (Polyurethane) coating offers superior hydrostatic pressure resistance (measured in mm) for rainwear; Silver coating (UV50+) is essential for sunshades and car covers to provide heat insulation and UV protection; and PVC coating is used for heavy-duty waterproof bags, though it increases weight significantly.
For international trade, ensure the fabric meets OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 to guarantee it is free from harmful substances. If exporting to the EU, compliance with REACH regulations is mandatory. For outdoor gear, request EN 343 certification for water penetration resistance and AATCC 22 for water repellency spray tests.
Request a Hydrostatic Head Test report to confirm the waterproof rating (e.g., 1000mm to 3000mm). Perform a tear strength test (ISO 13937) and check for colorfastness to light (Grade 4 or higher) to ensure the fabric won't fade quickly in the sun. Also, inspect the uniformity of the coating to ensure there are no pinholes or peeling.
The primary risk is specification fraud, where a supplier provides 170T or 180T fabric labeled as 190T to save costs. Another risk is inconsistent coating thickness across different batches. To mitigate this, use Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading services and insist on a pre-shipment inspection (PSI) by a third party like SGS or Intertek.
Polyester is a commodity sensitive to raw material (PTA/EG) price fluctuations. Negotiate a formula-based pricing for long-term contracts. For 190T, standard MOQs are usually 1,000 to 3,000 meters per color. If you need smaller quantities, ask for 'ready goods' (stock fabric), though color choices may be limited. Bulk discounts of 5-10% are typical for orders exceeding 10,000 meters.
Fabric rolls are bulky and prone to moisture damage. Ensure the supplier uses double-layer packaging (inner plastic bag + outer woven bag). Request hard paper tubes inside the rolls to prevent crushing during container loading. When shipping to humid climates, include desiccants in the container to prevent mildew on the fabric coatings.
Always prioritize Audited Suppliers on Made-in-China.com, as their business licenses and production capabilities have been verified. Use Escrow payment methods where funds are only released upon confirmation of receipt. Avoid making full payments via unprotected wire transfers to new suppliers; instead, use a 30% deposit and 70% balance against the Bill of Lading (B/L).
