Reactive black manufacturers

When evaluating Reactive Black, specifically Reactive Black 5 (B-133), you must prioritize solubility (typically >100 g/L) and fixation rate (ideally >75%). Ensure the color strength is standardized (e.g., 100%, 150%, or 200%) to maintain consistency across production batches. Additionally, check the dust-free property of the powder or granules to ensure a safer working environment and better dissolution.

Suppliers must provide REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) compliance for the EU market. Furthermore, look for OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification and ZDHC (Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals) level 3 compliance to ensure the dyes are free from restricted arylamines and heavy metals. Always request a current MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) before finalizing the purchase.

Request lab reports for washing fastness (ISO 105-C06), light fastness (ISO 105-B02), and perspiration fastness. For Reactive Black, rubbing fastness (both wet and dry) is critical, as black pigments tend to bleed more easily. A rating of 4-5 on the Grey Scale is the industry benchmark for high-quality export-grade textiles.

Reactive Black is primarily used for cellulosic fibers like cotton, viscose, and linen. It is suitable for exhaust dyeing, cold pad-batch (CPB) processes, and continuous dyeing. Ensure the supplier specifies if the dye is optimized for low-temperature (60°C) or high-temperature application to match your existing machinery and energy-saving goals.

The primary risks include batch-to-batch color variance and moisture absorption during sea transit. To mitigate this, use Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading Service to ensure payment is only released after quality verification. Always insist on vacuum-sealed double-layer PE bags inside plastic or fiber drums to prevent clumping and degradation during long-haul shipping.

Chemical pricing is highly sensitive to raw material costs (H-acid prices). Negotiate based on volume tiers; for example, a 20ft FCL (Full Container Load) usually commands a 10-15% discount compared to LCL. Ask for a fixed-price contract for 3-6 months if you have recurring needs to hedge against market volatility.

While Reactive Black is generally classified as non-hazardous for transport, you must verify the HS Code (typically 3204.16) and ensure the supplier provides a 'Certificate for Safe Transport of Chemical Goods'. For shipping to regions with strict customs, ensure the labeling is bilingual and includes the batch number and manufacturing date for traceability.

Prioritize Audited Suppliers on Made-in-China.com who have undergone third-party onsite inspections by SGS or Bureau Veritas. Before placing a bulk order, always purchase a 1-5kg sample for a pilot run in your own facility to confirm the exhaustion rate and shade matching against your local water quality.
