For metal components, prioritize 304 stainless steel or heavy-duty aluminum alloy with a minimum wall thickness of 1.5mm to ensure structural integrity. If sourcing wooden legs, ensure they are kiln-dried to a moisture content of 8-12% to prevent cracking. For functional frames, such as recliner mechanisms, verify a cycle test rating of at least 25,000 operations to guarantee long-term durability.

Look for high-carbon steel zigzag springs (S-springs) with a wire diameter of 3.8mm to 4.0mm for optimal support. For elastic webbing, a stretch ratio of 60-80% is standard for seat bases. Ensure all metal springs have an anti-rust electrophoretic coating to prevent squeaking and corrosion over time, especially in humid climates.

If exporting to the US, foam must meet CAL TB117-2013 fire retardancy standards; for the UK, BS 5852 is mandatory. For fabrics, ensure a Martindale abrasion test result of ≥20,000 rubs for residential use and ≥40,000 rubs for commercial projects. Additionally, check for OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification to ensure the absence of harmful chemicals.

Yes, most professional suppliers on Made-in-China.com offer OEM/ODM services. You can request custom PVD plating colors (such as brushed gold or gunmetal) for legs, or specific tensile strengths for springs. It is recommended to provide CAD or 3D drawings to ensure precision in dimensions, especially for integrated components like cup holders or power strips.

Always request a pre-production sample and conduct a third-party inspection (such as SGS or TUV) before the final balance payment. Focus on salt spray testing for plated parts to ensure they won't tarnish during sea freight, and verify that the weight capacity matches the supplier's claims.

Focus on Tiered Pricing based on volume; for example, a 10-15% discount is often achievable when moving from LCL (Less than Container Load) to a Full Container Load (FCL). Negotiate for spare parts (1-2% extra) to be included free of charge to cover potential damages during assembly or shipping.

Sofa accessories like springs and legs are high-density cargo. Use palletized packaging with moisture-proof film to prevent rust during ocean transit. For cost-efficiency, consider FOB (Free On Board) terms to maintain control over your freight forwarder and ensure the goods are consolidated properly to minimize 'dead space' in the container.
