Teeth toothbrush manufacturers

Buyers must focus on bristle material, typically Nylon 610 or 612, which offers superior elasticity and lower water absorption compared to cheaper alternatives. The filament diameter should range from 0.15mm to 0.20mm for soft to medium grades. Additionally, ensure the tuft retention strength meets the ISO 20126 standard (minimum 15N) to prevent bristles from falling out during use, which is a critical safety requirement.

For the US market, toothbrushes are regulated as medical devices and require FDA Registration. In the EU, products must comply with the General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) and often require CE marking if they are electric. Furthermore, ensure all materials are BPA-free and comply with REACH or RoHS standards to guarantee chemical safety for oral contact.

For manual brushes, inspect the end-rounding rate of bristles; high-quality brushes should have >80% rounded tips to prevent gingival recession. For electric toothbrushes, verify the battery type (Lithium-ion is preferred), waterproof rating (minimum IPX7), and motor vibration frequency (typically 31,000 to 48,000 strokes per minute). Request third-party inspection reports for motor longevity and noise levels (should be <65dB).

There is a significant shift toward biodegradable materials such as Bamboo (MOSO variety) or PLA (Polylactic Acid). When sourcing bamboo brushes, ensure the supplier has FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certification and uses carbonization processes to prevent mold growth during cross-border transit. Recyclable packaging (kraft paper) is also a high-demand feature for eco-conscious retail markets.

Always utilize Trade Terms that allow for Pre-shipment Inspection (PSI). You should hire a third-party agency to conduct a Random Sampling Inspection based on AQL 2.5/4.0 standards. For secure transactions, use platforms like Made-in-China.com which offer Secured Trading Services to ensure your payment is only released after the goods pass quality verification.

Toothbrushes are high-volume, low-margin goods. Aim for tiered pricing where the unit cost drops by 10-15% when moving from 5,000 to 20,000 units. If you are a startup, negotiate a lower MOQ for the first trial order by offering to pay a slightly higher unit price, with the agreement that the difference will be credited toward your first full-scale bulk order.

Toothbrushes are sensitive to humidity and pressure. Ensure the outer cartons are double-walled corrugated fiberboard with a moisture-proof inner lining. For electric toothbrushes containing Lithium batteries, you must provide a UN38.3 Test Report and an MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) to comply with international air and sea freight regulations for hazardous materials.

Before finalizing a design, conduct a patent search to ensure the handle shape or motor technology does not infringe on existing brands like Philips or Oral-B. If you are doing OEM/ODM, ensure your contract includes a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and clearly states that the mold ownership belongs to the buyer once the mold fee is paid.
