Zip case manufacturers

When sourcing zip cases, the choice of outer material determines durability and use-case suitability. EVA (Ethylene-vinyl acetate) is preferred for protective hardshell cases due to its shockproof and water-resistant properties. For soft cases, 600D or 1680D Polyester/Nylon offers superior abrasion resistance. Ensure the inner lining uses soft velvet or microfiber to prevent scratches on sensitive contents like electronics or eyewear.

The zipper is the core component of a zip case. You should specify branded zippers like YKK or SBS for high-end orders. Ensure the zipper is nylon coil or waterproof TPU-coated if the case is for outdoor use. Demand a zipper cycle test report (e.g., 5,000+ openings/closings) and check for reinforced stitching at the zipper ends to prevent teeth misalignment or fabric tearing.

For the US market, ensure materials are CPSIA compliant (lead and phthalate-free), especially if the cases are for school or medical use. For the EU, REACH certification is mandatory to ensure no hazardous chemicals are present in the plastics or dyes. If the case houses electronics, the materials should ideally meet UL94 V-0 flame retardancy standards.

Yes, professional suppliers on Made-in-China.com offer extensive customization. This includes custom-cut foam inserts (EVA or PU) for tool protection, mesh pockets with elastic bands for cable management, and branding via silkscreen printing, heat transfer, or embossed rubber logos. Always request a pre-production sample (PPS) to verify the fit and logo placement before bulk manufacturing.

Implement a three-stage inspection process: 1. Request a Gold Sample before production. 2. Hire a third-party inspector for a During Production Check (DUPRO) to catch stitching errors early. 3. Conduct a Final Random Inspection (FRI) based on AQL 2.5/4.0 standards to check for zipper smoothness, thread ends, and dimensional accuracy.

Focus on Tiered Pricing based on volume; for zip cases, raw material costs drop significantly at 1,000+ units. Negotiate for molding fee rebates, where the supplier refunds the custom mold cost once your cumulative orders reach a certain volume (e.g., 5,000 units). Always clarify Incoterms—while FOB is standard, ensure the supplier provides detailed packing lists to avoid volumetric weight surcharges during shipping.

Zip cases are often 'light cargo' with high volume. To save costs, ask the supplier to nest smaller cases inside larger ones if you are ordering multiple sizes. Use vacuum packaging for soft cases to reduce volume. For large B2B shipments, Sea Freight (LCL or FCL) is the most economical, but ensure the cartons are double-walled (5-ply) to prevent crushing during stacking in the container.

Always conduct transactions through secure payment channels provided by reputable platforms like Made-in-China.com. Utilize Trade Assurance or Escrow services that hold payment until you confirm the receipt and quality of goods. Never wire 100% of the payment upfront; a standard 30% deposit and 70% balance against the Bill of Lading (B/L) is the safest industry practice.
